Toys, Toys, Toys

Outreach projects also known as toys! I have been looking for items to bring on my flight. NASA’s microgravity flight pattern consists of 36 parabolas, 18 out over the Gulf of Mexico and then 18 back to JSC. Depending where you are in the parabola, you may be at 0-g or 1.8-g. A few parabolas towards the end of the flight are for your outreach projects. That means what else could you test? Would the bouncing of a ball change? Could you play with a yo-yo? What toys are dependent on our gravity? Would a ball point pen work? How does a ball point pen work? What makes the ink come out? Have you ever tried to write with one on a wall? Could you spin a top? Would it float when 0-g is reached?)
For the past couple of weeks I have been shopping for toys aka outreach projects. Would you believe I could not find yo-yos? Walmart- nope. Target- nada.
I am open for suggestions on ideas for outreach projects and places to buy them.
